Meet Andreas Krampl, the executive chef of the Marriott here in Seoul whom I had the pleasure of photographing for 10 Magazine. Andreas has been one of my favorite people to photograph because he was tired of the same ol' portrait and up for something a little different. Yes, that is a live lobster.
Apparently, if you rub their head, they fall asleep. Andreas swore that once he put a lobster in such a trance that he managed to stand it up on it's claws. That's one that I'll have to see to believe... Unfortunately, our pet lobster look didn't win over 10 Mag. Here's the shot they printed. Meet Olivier and Milán and Hopee and Gobi and Buddha and Helen. Olivier and Milán are two Frenchmen that have been traveling with their two dogs for about 8 months. Hopee is the momma dog, a beautiful Akita and the daddy is Gobi, a really sweet husky. Buddha (named because he was born on Buddha's bday) is the little white guy and Helen (named after my friend) is the brown and white little girl. Both of them are a week old and have an crazy story of how they entered the world. It's not my story, so I'll let Helen tell it. Read it! Now! You will be crying laughing. Last Wednesday was the Korean Memorial day so we held a rooftop BBQ/sleep over. The whole family came over. Everyone slept on the roof while Hopee and the pups slept in my room. I couldn't help but sneak down and sleep with them. What can I say, I'm in love.
P.S. They will be selling the puppies when they're a little bit older so if you're near Seoul and interested let me know! So the long awaited Photo Booth Pictures are finally here! Flip through them! There are almost 200 pictures but they are HILARIOUS so definitely worth looking at! Thanks so much for coming out! The party was a huge success. It was so much fun to see y'all and these pictures have kept the fun going all week!
If you want any prints made, email me. Enjoy! I finished my second lamp! Sorry for the bad picture, I snapped it on my phone before I left home this morning. I like the second one much better than the first. I should have made the smallest one first so I had a little practice before making the big one but I got a little overzealous. The lamps are made from burlap and Christmas lights gathered in the center. Totally hippy but I love em! I'm currently editing pictures of my roomie photoshoot so check back tomorrow for more R&B's awesomeness.
So R&Bs finally had an awesome weekend to go take our "family" pictures. For those of you who don't already know, I live with two incredible people, Robbie and Britt. Being as there is a Robbie and two Britts, our friend Jane dubbed us R&Bs. And yes, very soon we will have a Three's Company remix as our theme song. Here is just a teaser from the ridiculous that ensued during our photo shoot. I'll post more this week, and I promise, the others are even more ridiculous than this one! I love my roommates!
So much love. So much joy. So much dorkiness. I couldn't have asked for more! We didn't have school on Wednesday so I slept in and made cinnamon apple pancakes! Quite delicious if I do say so myself!
